Housatonic Boat Club in Stratford, CT has seasonal positions for:

Club Launch Operators:

Both full and part time. Applicant must have: a CT Safe Boating Certificate and either a USCG Limited Master Launch Tender License  or a USCG Uninspected Launch Tender License.

• Season runs from early May to mid October

 

Junior Sailing Instructors:
 

The Junior Sailing program is a 7-week program for 30 kids ages 8-18 from 8:30-5:00 daily. We use 420s, Fevas, Lasers and Mercurys to teach beginners thru advanced sailors in a highly supportive environment.
– Head Instructor is responsible for overseeing the daily assignments of instructors, lesson plans, contingency plans for weather, oversight of regatta registrations and coordination with parents.
– Sailing Instructors are responsible for providing instruction in a safe and encouraging manner with a healthy dose of fun running throughout the summer. Instructors work a few days before the program starts and finishes to prep the fleet and wrap things up. First or second year instructor candidates are welcome to apply.

Minimum requirements: US Sailing Level 1 for Sailing Instructors and Level 3 for Head Instructor, Safe Powerboat Handling, and CPR. . Pay is commensurate with experience. No housing available.
